We received this question, here at Dixie Diners’ Club, and thought we’d share with the rest of you, in case you had a similar thought:

Q – Love, love, love the one carb brownie mix and have bought it for
years. Just wondered if there’s other brownies or bars I could easily
make with it.- N.A, online customer

A – In short, the various types of brownies or bars you can make with the brownie mix are many…

The original Carb Counters™ one carb brownie mix has always been the most popular one in our line and yes, you can do much more than just make the normal brownie with this mix.

You can use it as a base for cakes and fruit desserts or try making the cheesecake brownie recipe here. Thanks so much for asking, glad you love it.

It’s such a great way to “have your low carb brownie and eat it too”.

Counting the dessert carbs permit you to have that great dessert and still keep your weight in check. Personally, I feel good about putting something “all natural” like this in my body. No artificial ingredients, sugar alcohols or inulin.

Just 66 gluten-free calories per bar means I can grab one if the tummy starts rumbling, too.

Ok, the regular directions on the label for the Carb Counters™ SKU #230930 Brownie Mix call for:

Preheating oven to 325°.

Have ready a 9” x 13” standard size baking pan.

Coat bottom only with non stick cooking spray if not using a non stick pan.

Melt the chocolate and butter and stir in the other ingredients. Spread in baking pan. Very simple, huh? Now let’s start upgrading.

Cheesecake Brownie Upgrade

To make the delicious and beautiful “Cheesecake” brownie upgrade, just place an 8 oz. block of “softened” cream cheese in a medium size bowl and add 1 whole egg and ½ cup Sugar Not™ Spoonful™ all natural sugar replacement. That’s it.

1. Whisk and drop cheesecake batter by the spoonful randomly on top of the regular brownie batter in the baking pan.

2. With a knife drag cheesecake batter down and around through brownie batter making swirly strokes.

This will create the desired “marbled” effect in the brownies. Bake for 20 minutes. Do not over bake brownies.

3. Cut into 24 pieces. Less than 2 net carbs per piece.

Berry Cheesecake Brownie Upgrade

For a neat “raspberry or strawberry cheesecake brownie” variation, Smash up ¾ cup berries and drop by tablespoonful in the middle of the cheesecake batter before swirling with the knife. This makes a very pretty and delicious brownie.

Layered Cheesecake Brownie Upgrade

To make a “layered cheesecake brownie” version, in place of the marble effect, simply spread out cheesecake batter across top of the brownie and bake. To decorate, place some berries on top.

American Flag Brownie Upgrade

Reduced Fat Brownies

For Reduced Fat Versions, use fat free cream cheese and/or fat free sour cream in place of the regular sour cream. Make the fat free frosting version on the label of the frosting mixes.
